SI- Skills Immigration

The Skills Immigration method finds the skilled, experienced and highly qualified candidates for the BC under BC Provincial Nominee Program. The SI system will help the candidates to get permanent residence in British Columbia.

1. Skilled Workers

Skilled workers are required for highly demanded occupations such as management, professional, trade, technical and other skilled occupations in British Columbia. The candidates who are interested in working in British Columbia as permanent resident can apply through the Skills Immigration (SI).

  • Have a valid permanent job offer.
  • The job should come under the skill type 0 or levels A or B in National Occupation Classification (NOC).
  • Should possess 2 years of working experience at least and have undergone proper training in relevant field.
  • Eligible for legal immigration status in Canada.
  • Proficiency and fluency in the required languages.
  • The employer also must fulfill the eligibility criteria.
  • The candidate should submit an online profile fulfilling all the requirements.
  • Based on the score board, the candidates will be invited periodically.

2. Entry Level Semi Skilled

Those who are willing to work in tourism, hospitality, long-haul trucking and food process fields can apply under this program.

  • Should apply in NOC skill level C or D for Northeast Development Region.
  • Should be working for 9 nine months before applying.
  • Should fulfill language proficiency and educational requirements.
  • Should have a legal immigration status and earning wage line.

2. Healthcare Professionals

The free health recruitment service in British Columbia is the Health Match BC. It is a placement service provider.

  • The candidate should have a permanent job offer from an authority in public health such registered as a physician, nurse, specialist, psychiatric nurse and a nurse practitioner.
  • Or should have a job offer from a diagnostic medical Sonographer, laboratory and radiation technologist, therapist and pharmacist.
  • Should possess a confirmation letter for midwives.
  • Should satisfy the required qualification and 2 years of working experience.
  • Should have a wage offer, legal immigration status and the support of your employer.
  • The interested candidates should apply online and submit their profile. Based on the score board rank, the candidate will be invited for the job and BC PNP.

3. International Graduate

The candidates who qualify from the Canadian Universities or colleges within the last 3 years can apply for Skills Immigration BC PNP under International Graduate category.

  • Should possess a valid permanent job offer in NOC National Occupational Classification under skill type 0 or A or B.
  • Should have completed a degree or certificate or diploma from a recognized Canadian Institutions within 3 years.
  • Should pass the proficiency and fluency in the required languages.
  • Should support yourself and your family members, if and have a wage offer.
  • The candidate should apply online by submitting their profile. Based on the score board ranks, the candidate will be called for the job offer and permanent residency through BC PNP.

4. International Post-Graduate

The candidate should possess a valid master’s or doctorate in Agriculture, Biomedical and Biology, Computer and IT, Engineering and Technology, Health and Clinical Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, conservation of natural resources and research and Physical Sciences.

  • Should possess a valid degree or doctorate from Canadian Institutions in three years.
  • Eligible for legal immigration in Canada.
  • Should apply your profile online. Based on score board, the candidate will be invited for job and permanent residency through BC PNP.

Skills Immigration Process

The candidate should review

1. Registration

  • Registration is free.
  • Skilled, Entry level and semi-skilled workers, and International Graduates should register with SIRS.
  • Healthcare professionals and International Post-Graduates should register with BCPNP online.

2. Invitation

  • Registrants who satisfy the required qualification will receive the invitation to apply. IRCC sets the number of invitations periodically.
  • Within 30 days, the completed application should be submitted through BCPNP with $1,150 processing fee.

3. Application

  • If approved by the Provincial Immigration Programs Act and Provincial.
  • Immigration Programs Regulation, the candidate will receive a nomination. The details should be the same as it is in the registration form.

4. Nomination

  • Confirm your nomination and apply to IRCC for permanent residence in BC.
  • Should have a valid work permit.
  • Try to meet the conditions of nomination.
